KITTRELL-Carl Herndon Finch, 81, of Kittrell, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Maria Parham Health.Born December 5, 1937 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Raymond Dorsey Finch and Rosa Bell West Finch.Carl was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Parker-Hannifin Manufacturing Company.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Union Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
He is survived by his wife, Savannah Wells Finch of the home; two daughters, Roxanne F. Emond (Patrick) of Boston, MA and Lisa R. Todd (Aron) of Kittrell; three sisters, Helen F. Wortham of Henderson, Molly Ann F. Hundley of Boone, and Ruby F. Matthews (Buddy) of Kittrell; two brothers, Henry Finch (Ann) of Kittrell and Kenneth Orr (Faye) of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren, Jeremy B. Sanford (Michelle) and Kevin D. Sanford (Lauren); and one great grandson, Brycen D. Sanford.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cheatham Finch and Raymond Finch; and one sister, Mary Louise Orr.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral.At other times they will be at the home of Lisa and Aron Todd, 77 Spring Creek Lane, Kittrell NC 27544.
