BUTNER-Carlos Lopez- Ortiz, 79, of 103 24th Street, died Wednesday at Duke Regional Hospital.Born January 4, 1936 in San Pedro, Mexico he was the son of the late Lino Lopez Recio and Juana Ortiz Moreno.He worked as a tobacco farmer and was a member of Jesus Rey De Reyes Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Arnoldo Perez Diaz.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Esther Rosales De Lopez of the home; five daughters, Juana Lopez Lopez of Mexico, Olga Lidia Lopez Rosales of Laredo, TX, Bertha Alicia Lopez Rosales of Houston, TX, Maribel Lopez Rosales of Houston, TX and Sandra Estela Lopez Rosales of Butner; three sons, Jose Carlos Lopez Rosales of Henderson, Lino Lopez Rosales of Laredo, TX and Juan Manuel Lopez Rosales of Henderson; 31 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jesus Antonio Lopez Rosales.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.
