HENDERSON — Caroline Finch Parham, 97, of Henderson, transitioned to her eternal home on April 26, 2026, after a brief stay at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 17, 1928, in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite Christman Finch and Clyde L. Finch, and the widow of Robert W. Parham.
Caroline graduated from Henderson High School in 1946 and attended the Women's College (WC) in Greensboro, where she earned a commercial business certificate. Throughout her career in Henderson, she worked at Leggett's and Eveready Chevrolet before joining the family businesses, Parham Motor Co. and Parham's Western Supply, following her marriage. She was a dearly loved and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Her kind soul was easily recognizable to all, as she unselfishly gave of her time and gifts to help others.
She is survived by her son, Robert W. Parham Jr. and wife Bess of Henderson; two grandchildren, Dr. Jamie Courter and husband Donny of Kingdom City, MO, and Ethan Finch Parham and wife Kayla of Creedmoor; a son-in-law, Jon P. Jones of Garner; and three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Courter, Caroline Courter, and Marguerite Parham. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaqueline P. Jones; her sister, Lucille Hunt; and her brother, Clyde (CL) Finch Jr.
A graveside service led by Pastor Will Breedlove will be held on Thursday, April 30, at 3:00 PM in the old section of Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of her son at 3008 Sidney Hill, Henderson.
The family wishes to acknowledge the love and care provided by Debbie Barbour and Kim Dampier during her later years and especially over these last days. We were truly blessed to witness the servant hearts of these ladies as they lovingly aided Ms. Parham.
