HENDERSON- Carolyn Elaine Roberson Currin, age 59, a resident of 1245 Park Ave. died Monday, May 20, 2013, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on July 28, 1953 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Jones Roberson and Katie Ann Seamster Roberson.She formerly worked as a cashier at Food Lion, was a member of Crystal River Church of God and Sanctuary Sunday School Class.
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Charles Anderson.
She is survived by three sons, Lawrence Edward Currin, Jr., Jonathan Robert Currin, and Bryan Thomas Currin, all of Henderson; a brother, Jerry Roberson of Henderson; a sister, Shirley Roberson Hicks of Newport News, VA; and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Currin, Sr.; a son, Gary Edward Currin; a sister Nancy Roberson Tucker; a brother, Jimmy Roberson; and a grandson.
The family will receive friends following the service at Sunset Gardens.
