FRANKLINTON-Carolyn Jones Hayes Richardson, 77, a former resident of Pinecrest Rd. Henderson, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Franklin Manor.Born on June 6, 1941 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Nathan Jones and Ruth Stone Jones.She was a bookkeeper for the former Hayes Electrical Company, and a member of Flat Rock United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018, at 3:00 PM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Pastor Joshua Johnian. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Dorothy Hayes of Apex, Laura Hayes Elliott of Henderson, Cathi Hayes of Roswell, Georgia, and Elizabeth Hayes of Henderson; two sons, Robert Alston Hayes, III of Troutman, and Jonathan Hayes, Sr. of Franklinton; one step-daughter, Robin Brooks of Henderson; one brother, Maurice Jones of Kittrell; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Alston Hayes, Jr. and Robert T. Richardson.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at the J. M. White
Funeral Home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Leonard, Tony Leonard, Brian Ramsey, David Fairey, Larry Poore, and Bobby Ayscue.
At other times they will be at the home of Jonathan and Danielle Hayes at 2094 Creekside Drive, Franklinton, NC27525.
