Nancy Carolyn Woodlief Hilliard, 76, of Belmont Drive, died Monday, August 3, 2020, at her home.Born September 10, 1943 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Bailey Green Woodlief and Ethel Mae Journigan Woodlief.She was formerly employed with Americal.Carolyn was a lifelong member of Harriett Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 56 years and was a former member of the choir.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Will Breedlove.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Lawrence Hilliard, Sr. of the home; one son, Walter Lawrence Hilliard, Jr. (Patricia) of Clearwater, Florida; three grandchildren, Austin Hilliard, Lauren Hilliard, and Jordan Hilliard.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Freddie Woodlief, James Woodlief, and Bailey Green "Cotton" Woodlief.
Viewing for Mrs. Hilliard will be at J. M. White Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
