WARRENTON-Carolyn Jean Kelley Harrell, 80, a resident of Felts Road, died on Sunday at her home.Born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 10, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Charles Kelley and Catherine Morgan Kelley, and was the widow of David Harrell.She was a retired Financial Assistant at a private technical college, and was a former volunteer for the Special Olympics.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She is survived by two sons, Howard Leonard and wife, Angela of Warrenton and Melvin Knight of Maryland; two daughters, Laura Connell of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Christine O'Kelley of New Bern; two sisters, six grandchildren; and many beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Hawtree Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 25, Wise, NC 27594.
