Carolyn Fay Lee

Carolyn Fay Lee, 83, of Coble Boulevard, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Maria Parham Health surrounded by her family. Born January 30, 1939 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Ola George Lee and Jones David Lee. She was the owner and operator of "The Ginger Bread Palace" daycare center. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she served as the church custodian for several years and taught Sunday School. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Wood and Rev. Greg Allison. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Brenda West and husband, Earl of Henderson; her daughter, Crystal Russell and husband Chris, of Henderson; one grandchild, Cameron Russell; many nieces and nephews, including Jason West and Sheila Finch who were dear caregivers; and her dear friends at Oak Hill Apartments. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion “Bussie” Loyd and Joyce Spain; and her brother, Jones David “Big Boy” Lee, Jr. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home of Brenda West, 1843 Vicksboro Road, Lot 23, Henderson. Serving as Pallbearers will be Chuck Parrish, Bryant Parrish, Gary Pulley, John Taylor, Wade Abbott, and Tommy West.
