HENDERSON-Carolyn Stevenson Riggan, 76, a resident of Henderson, died Monday, December 7, 2020 in a local nursing home.Born in Vance County on April 4, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Jones Stevenson and Annie Mae Darnell Stevenson, and was the widow of Henry Clayton Riggan, Sr. Mrs. Stevenson was a homemaker and a member of North Henderson Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30AM at Sunset Gardens by the Rev. Jake Roberson.
She is survived by three sons, Randy Munn of Raleigh, Michael Munn (Nikkie) and Jeff Munn (Joan) of Henderson; one brother, Billy Stevenson (Linda) of Henderson; two sisters, Irma S. Abbott and Ava S. Ayscue both of Henderson; eight grandchildren, Jessica Draughon, Randy Munn, Jr., Christopher Munn, Justin Munn, Matthew Munn, Madison Munn, Katheryn Coghill and Shannon Riggan; and five great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel Stevenson; one sister, Anne McDonald; and a step-son, Henry Clay Riggan, Jr.
