-Carolyn Jean Ayscue West, age 56, a resident of 701 Harriett Street, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her home.Born in Vance County on June 14, 1957, she was the daughter of Billie T. Ayscue, Sr. and Jean Ellington Ayscue of Henderson.She was the owner and President of Sunrise Professional Painting Co. in Hopewell, VA.She loved to paint and was a very talented decorator.She spent a lot of time outdoors gardening and collecting lots of unusual and unique items.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one son, Robert Dennis West, Jr. of the home; two sisters, Gale A. Fleming and Dale A. Abbott and husband, Bobby of Henderson; two brothers, Billie T. Ayscue, Jr. and Stacey Ayscue of Henderson; one nephew, W. A. Bowes and wife, Nancy of Oxford; one niece, Priscilla Moss of Norfolk, VA; her special aunt, Faye E. Cash of Henderson; and her special friend, Kari Cobb of Henderson.She also leaves behind lots of friends and family to cherish her memories, including her loving poodle, Piddle Poo, whom she adored.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00PM at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Henry Abbott.
The family will receive friends at the home at 701 Harriett Street.
