Catherine Harper Frye

Catherine Harper Roberson Frye, age 88, a resident of 905 Daniel Harris Road, died Sunday, March 06, 2011, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on August 15, 1922 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late William P. Harper and Lillian Bowen Harper.
She was retired from Americal Corporation and was a lifetime member of St. Johns Episcopal Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 pm in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Dennis Peay.Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn R. Pegram and husband, Wheeler,of Henderson; one sister, Ann Harper Hilliard of Henderson; two grandchildren, Michelle P. Adcock and husband, Kenny, and George Pegram, Jr. and wife, Amanda; and one great granddaughter, Kennedy Ashton Adcock.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Newman Roberson and John O. Frye, Jr.; two brothers, Joseph W. Harper and Clarence E. Harper; and three sisters, Florence H. Myrick, Tessie H. Tunstall, and Peggy H. Pegram.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Carolyn and Wheeler Pegram at 905 Daniel Harris Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Dr. Ken Tunstall, Mark Hilliard, Charles Hilliard, Howard Pegram, Jr., C. E. Harper, Jr. and Michael Strum.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church, c/o Ruth Moss, 1705 Allison Cooper Road, Henderson, N. C.27537.
