Cathy Newton Tillotson

HENDERSON- Cathy Lynn Newton Tillotson, 65, of Dabney Road, died Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at her home. Born September 1, 1957 in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late O.B. Newton, Jr. and Helen Blalock Newton. She was retired from Coca-Cola in Durham, where she worked as a Human Resources Manager and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Creedmoor. She was a former president of the Humane Society of Granville County. The family will receive friends at a visitation on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. in the fellowship hall of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Cathy is survived by her husband, Danny Tillotson of the home; two brothers, Randy B. Newton (Robin) and Mark Newton (Linda), both of Creedmoor; a brother-in-law, Bobby Ray of Creedmoor; nieces and nephews, Wanda Ferrell (Brent), Richard Ray (Paula), Dylan Newton and Morgan Newton; and great nieces and nephews, Jenna Ray, Evan Ray and Peyton Ferrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Faye N. Ray. Memorial donations may be made to the Human Society of Granville County, HSGC, PO Box 385, Butner, NC 27509.
