Charles Stuart Ayscue

NORLINA- Charles Stuart Ayscue, 76, of Irene Drive, died Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Granville Medical Center. Born November 6, 1945 in Warren County, he was the son of the late Arthur Ayscue, Sr. and Sallie King Ayscue. Charles was a Veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Commercial Seaming. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was head of the church maintenance committee. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Dr. Gene Wood. Charles is survived by his wife, Irene Faucette Ayscue of the home; five daughters, Michelle Ayscue, Shelia Ayscue, Tammy Long, Cindy Raines and Kim Abbott; his son, Tony Ayscue; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; and his brother, James Ayscue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jessie James Ayscue and Timothy Ray Ayscue; four brothers, Ray Ayscue, Arthur Ayscue, Jr., Jay Ayscue and Bill Ayscue.
