Charles Sunday Bowman

HENDERSON- Charles Sunday Bowman, 72, of Forest Hills Drive, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Duke University Hospital. Born February 10, 1953 in South Boston, VA, he was the son the late Marie Mize Bowman and Charlie Thomas Bowman. Charles was a Master Mechanic and the owner of Southern Classic Cars. A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Milton Abbott and Rev. Wilbert Horton. Charles is survived by his wife, Glenda Woodard Bowman of the home; his son, Christopher “Chris” Scott Bowman and wife, Scarlette of Henderson; his grandchildren, Chasen “Chase” Smyth Bowman and Charly Olivia Bowman; his sister, Linda B. Roberson of Kernersville; five nieces and nephews, Jennifer Brinckerhoff, Heidi Rosasco, Daniel Roberson, Cale Woodard and Kim Perkinson; his business partner who was like a brother, Dennis Williamson; and his beloved dog, “Molly.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Tommy Gethro Woodard and Michael George Roberson. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home; and at other times at the home.
