HENDERSON – Charles Lesley Bracken, 90, of Nottingham Court, died Thursday, December 26, 2024 in Florida. Born, February 15, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN, he was the son of the late Willie Juanita Brown and Ernest Leroy Bracken. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and fought in the Korean War. He retired after 30 years, from Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. Funeral services with military honors will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Chattanooga National Cemetery by Pastor Rocky Bradford. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, the love of his life, Clara Alice Pickett Bracken, of the home; three daughters, Anjelika Carol B. Chapman, of Henderson, Juanita Aventine "Vera" Helton, of Castle Rock, CO, and Alberta Lorraine Magedanz, of Auburndale, FL; two sons, Charles Lesley Bracken, Jr, of Wilson, and Martin Nathaniel Bracken, of Frostproof, FL.; three sisters, Vera Elaine Cleveland, of Brevard, Mittie Elmyra Shelton, of Frostproof, FL, and Linda Kay Walker, of Frostproof, FL; two brothers, Wilfred Eugene Bracken, of Soddy-Daisy, TN and James Floyd Bracken, of Lake Wales, FL; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Willie Wayona White and Treva Jo Johnson; and two brothers, Ernest Leroy Bracken, Jr. and Claude David Bracken. Serving as pallbearers will be Milton Stewart, Jeff Stewart, Devin King, Scott Ledford, Mike Ledford and Randy Rameriez.
