Charles Nickles Cornish, Sr.

Charles Nickles Cornish, Sr., age 80, a resident of 70 Cornish Lane, died Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Universal Health Care in Oxford.Born on January 5, 1934 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late LeRoy William Cornish and Elizabeth Abbott Cornish.
He was retired from Western Electric and was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Whetstone Cornish of the home; three daughters, Barbara W. Anson of Dayton, Ohio, Audrie L. Wingate of Manassas, VA, and Stephana E. Brown of Henderson; four sons, Charles N. Cornish, Jr. of Kittrell, Dana P. Cornish of Arlington, VA, James R. Cornish of Kittrell, and Jeffrey D. Cornish of Washington, DC; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at thehome.
