Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am at First United Methodist Church by the Rev. Bobby Fletcher and Rev. Cam Ford.Burial will follow in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by one son, Hal Walker Finch and wife, Deborah of Henderson; two grandchildren, John Walker Finch and wife, Jamie and Deborah Leigh Finch Holtzman and husband, Kyle; two great grandchildren, Logan Walker Finch and Kyleigh Grace Holtzman; and one brother, Robert L. "Bob" Finch of Kerrville, Texas.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Leigh Hicks Finch; one brother, Clarence Stewart Finch, Jr., and two sisters, Hazel F. Haddock and Ruth F. Massey.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 9:45 until 11 am in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.At other times they will be at the home of Hal and Deborah Finch at 254 Yowland Road.
Serving as active pall bearers will be George Hoyle, David Thomas, Kirt Meadows, Jan Fletcher, Jeff Perry, and Mark Nesbitt.Serving as honorary pall bearers will be Andrew "Buddy" Thomas, Donald Seifert, John Norwood, and the Men’s Bible Class of First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 114 Church Street, Henderson, NC27536.
