HENDERSON-Charles Lacey Fleming, age 68 of Henderson, died Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born in Vance County on January 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles E. Fleming and Florine Abbott Fleming.He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Home Credit.Lacey was a graduate of John Graham High School in Warrenton and was a member of Shocco United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Shocco United Methodist Church (on Vicksboro Road in Warren County) byPastor Amanda Dixson, Dr. Ronald S. Cava, and Dr. Marion D. Lark.Burial with Military Honors will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rozier Fleming of the home; one sister, Betty Jean F. Cole of Raleigh; and one brother, Merle Fenner Fleming of Henderson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at 368 Pine Trail.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Owen Robertson, Andrew Hundley, John Coleman, Ted Bowen, Raymond Bartholomew, Kenny Mosley, J. W. Woodlief, Bob Fleming, and Wayne Adcock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shocco United Methodist Church, c/o Lisa Blaylock, 319 S. Main Street, Warrenton, NC27589.
