-Charles Craddock Granger, Jr., age 70, a resident of 383 Spring Lane, died Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Duke Medical Center.Born in Vance County on January 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Charles Craddock Granger, Sr. and Jessie Reavis Granger.He was a retired Plant Engineer at the former Americal Corp. and was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2 PM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Charles was a loving and wise husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was a very Godly man who is survived by his wife, Faye Finch Granger, of the home; one daughter, Donna Granger Hughes and husband, Toddof Wake Forest; two sons, Charles Craddock Chuck Granger, III of Kill Devil Hills and H. Bradley Brad Granger and wife, Renee of Manteo; six grandchildren, Amanda Dement (Rick), Charlie Granger, Lindsay Granger, Joshua Granger, Dillon Hughes, and Jessie Granger; two great grandchildren, Gracie Dement and Gabriel Dement; and two sisters, Lou Ellen G. Finch of Graham and Sarah G. Hicks and husband, Billy of Burlington.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:30 until 2 PM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at the home in the Middleburg Community.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, 905 Americal Road, Henderson, NC27537.
