Charles Arnold Grissom, Sr.

Charles Arnold Bro Grissom, Sr., age 71, a resident of 1409 Quail Ridge, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on November 17, 1939 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Wallace Grissom and Rosa Lee Pulley Grissom.Mr. Grissom was a retired Fireman and EMT for the City Of Henderson, and was a lifetime member of Fuller Chapel United Church Of Christ.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Fuller Chapel United Church Of Christ by the Rev. Tammy Ayscue and the Rev. Gene Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jensen Grissom of Henderson; two sons, Charles Arnold Grissom, Jr. and finance Teresa, and Michael Dean Grissom and wife, Donna, all of Henderson; one brother, Ray Grissom and wife, Martha, of Henderson; one sister, Jean G. Glover of Henderson; three grandchildren, Joshua Grissom, Alyssa Grissom, and Derek Grissom; one great grandchild, Jayla Grissom; his former daughter-in-law, Terri Grissom; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service on Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of Fuller Chapel United Church Of Christ.At other times they will be at the home of Betty Grissom and Charles A. Grissom, Jr. at 179 Willow Oak Drive.
