Charles Ray Harris

HENDERSON-Charles Ray Harris, 64, a resident of Hunter Road, died Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home. Born on November 7, 1957 in Harlan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Ransom Harris and Mary Watson Harris. Mr. Harris was employed as a truck driver for Hills Trucking Company in Galax, Virginia. The family will receive friends Monday night, January 31, 2022 from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at J. M. White Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Booth Harris of the home; four daughters, Michelle Harris (Pablo) of Emporia, Virginia, Samantha Gilley (Joshua) and Angela Dowd of Henderson and Amber Harris (Jamie) of Norlina; one son, Chadwich Harris of Henderson; and eleven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Lee Harris and William Earl Harris. Those attending the visitation are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and practice social distancing.
