HENDERSON- Charles Allen Hedgepeth, age 75, a resident of 138 Roberts Ave, died December 4, 2017 at his home.Born in Vance County on May 8, 1942 he was the son of the late Oscar Hedgepeth and Zelma Twisdale Hedgepeth.He was retired from Americal where he was a superintendant.He was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Living By Gods Word Sunday School Class where he was a former substitute teacher. Before his declining health Charles served as an usher and greeter at the church.
Funeral services will be held at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church on Wednesday, December 6 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Frank Sossamon and Pastor Tony Broome.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
Charles is survived by his wife, Lynda Clayton Hedgepeth of the home; his son, Allen Lee Hedgepeth (Lisa) of Henderson; his daughter, Sherry H. Lloyd (Ricky) of Henderson; two sisters, Ruby H. Gupton of Henderson and Annie H. Overton of Kittrell; four grandchildren, Bradley Lloyd (Shannon), Brittany Hedgepeth, Jessica Lalas (Brent), and Cameron Hedgepeth (Taylor); four great grandchildren, Ethan, Chase, Trevor and Alaina.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00 till 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Gene Pulley, Mike Overton, Ricky Edwards, Walter Beal, Al Taylor, Donald Ray Matthews, Joe Joe Parks and Mike Catlett.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the members of Living By Gods Word Sunday School Class.
