Charles Thomas Lassiter, Sr.

HENDERSON-Charles Thomas Lassiter, Sr., age 65, a resident of 225 Bickett Street, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Durham Regional Medical Center.Born in Vance County on January 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Charles Woodrow Lassiter and Athaleen Dowdy Lassiter.Mr. Lassiter was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly employed with the former Watson Construction Company.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Charles Pop Dunton. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Watson Lassiter of the home; one daughter, Cherie L. Bolanos of Henderson; one son, Charles Thomas Lassiter, Jr. of Henderson; one brother, Alvin L. Lassiter, Sr. of Henderson; one sister, Alice L. Watson of Henderson; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Charles and Tracee Lassiter at 812 Briggs Road in the Bearpond Community.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Alvin Lee Lassiter, Jr., George Lassiter, Jr., D. H. Edwards, Ken Dickerson, Donnie Lassiter, Jamie Norwood, Keith Jones, and Kenneth Douglas Watson.
Arrangements are by J. M. White Funeral Home.
