Charles Michael Finch

Charles Michael Finch, 75, of Pinellas Park, Florida, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Clearwater, Florida with his wife and close friends by his side. Mike, or Michael to some, was born in Henderson, NC on January 3, 1947 to Stewart and Chris Finch. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lyndel Smythers Finch of Pinellas Park, brother, Stewart (Becky) Finch of Charlotte, NC, brother, Richard Finch of Brazoria, TX, and several nieces and cousins. Following graduation from Frederick Military Academy, Mike served four years in the USAF and enrolled in Old Dominion University. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s in Education, he began a fulfilling career in social services. In 2017, he retired as executive director of Suncoast Epilepsy Association which allowed him more time to devote to his interest in growing tropical plants. Nothing gave him more pleasure than sharing the plants and fruits with his friends. At Mike’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service.
