HENDERSON-Charles Robert Allen West, 65, a resident of 124 Virginia Dare Lane, died Sunday, August 12, 2018, at his home.Born in Vance County on April 16, 1953, he was the son of the late Benjamin Joseph West and Virginia Dare Abbott West.Charles was the owner and operator of West Auto Repair Shop and was formerly employed with Marshfield and Palm Harbor Mobile Homes.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at Blessed Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Donald A. Perkinson.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by three brothers, Lowell West, and Wade West, of Henderson and Bobby Westof Tillsonburg, Ontario Canada; three sisters, Judy Lee, Carolyn Harris, and Hazel Delbridge all of Henderson; many nieces and nephews; and his "four legged kids", Monkey, Ellie Mae, Rosie, Lacy, Buttercup, and Poppy.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joseph West, James West, Benjamin West, and Virginia Ellis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at his home at 124 Virginia Dare Lane.
Serving as pall bearers will be his nephews.
