Charles Edgar "Pete" Stanley

Clyde- Mr. Charles Edgar Pete Stanley, age 87, a resident of 304 Justice Drive, Clyde, died Monday, March 27, 2016 at MedWest-Haywood Hospice & Palliative Care Center.Born on January 15, 1929 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Paul Cecil Stanley and Jacksie Ross Stanley.He was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Army serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM conducted by Rev. Tammy Ayscue in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home.Burial with full military honors will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Stanley is survived by two daughters, Donna S. Petriccione of Billings, MT and Kathy S. Nuzman of Goldsboro; his son, Peter Stanley of the home; a sister, Pauline Polly S. Fuller of Louisburg; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Reba Jackson Stanley and Elizabeth Critcher Stanley; and a son, Charles Edgar Charlie Stanley.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
Members of the United States Army Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
