Charles Wayne West, 63, a resident of 49 Island Creek Estates, died Monday, January 9, 2016, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on December 14, 1953 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Thomas Benjamin West, Jr. and Barbara Coghill Matthews, and was the widower of Linda Miller West.Charles was an employee of Autry Logging Company.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by two sons, Michael West (Chastity) and Charlie West of Henderson; two grandchildren, Austin West and Baylee West; and four brothers, Warren West, Joey West, Robert West, and Norwood West.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 10 until 11 am at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at the home they will be at the home of Michael and Chastity at 1311 Ruin Creek Road, Henderson, NC27537.
