HENDERSON- Mr. Charlie Allen Edwards, 77, a resident of 1832 S Clearview Drive, died Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Vance County on June 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Bennett Gill Edwards, Sr. and Mattie Roberson Edwards.He was retired from CVS.
Charlie was a member of New Life Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM by Rev. Joel Beckham and Dr. Donnie Perkinson.Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra McGhee Edwards of the home; a son, Ricky Edwards of Wake Forest; two brothers, Bennett Gill "B.G." Edwards, Jr. and wife, Betty of Salem, Virginia; and James Michael Edwards and wife, Sandy of Roanoke, VA; four sisters, Brenda E. Oha and husband, Ronald and Barbara Wilson, both of Creedmoor, Diane Medlin and husband, Robert of Henderson, and Martha Debbie Edwards of Roanoke, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and his two beloved dogs Zoe and Maxi.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 8:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home.
