Eugene Charlie Hartwell Robertson, age 74, a resident of 874 Van Dyke Road, died Friday, July 06, 2012, at his home.Born in Vance County on July 12, 1937, he was the son of the late Gene Hartwell Robertson and Bertha Matthews Robertson.Charlie was a retired Supervisor for Through The Barn Door and was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Forest Hill Baptist Church on Oliver Drive by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews, the Rev. Jay Causey, and the Rev. Neil Olenick.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Rivers Robertson of the home; four sons, Ronnie Robertson of Richmond, VA, Clay Robertson of Hopewell, VA, Eddie Norris and Patrick Robertson both of Henderson; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lena R. Falkner.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall of Forest Hill Baptist Church.At other times they will be at the home at 874 Van Dyke Road.
