Cheryl Vandyke Chorba

Cheryl Ann Van Dyke Chorba, age 52, a resident of 267 South Lake Lodge Road, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at her home.Born in Vance County on December 27, 1958, she was the daughter of Sally Ann Overton Van Dyke of Kittrell and the late Alps Lewis Van Dyke, Jr.Cheryl was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.She was a medically retired cosmetologist.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church by the Rev. Wayne Browning, the Rev. Frank Sossamon, and the Rev. Dennis Gossett.Burial will follow in the Union Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Robert Bobby Chorba of the home; and one sister, Sandra Van Dyke Pernell of Henderson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.At other times they will be at the home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Bobby Chorba, Paul Manning, Rocky Ayscue, Eddie Van Dyke, David Pate, and Wayne Browning.
