Born in Marion, Kentucky, on July 24, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Vaughn and Rosa Davidson Vaughn of Marion, KY, and was the widow of Durwood Thomas Watkins.Cheryl was retired from First Citizens Bank in Henderson, NC, where she was a Teller Supervisor.
She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Durwood Thomas Watkins, in the Fuller Chapel Christian Church Cemetery at a later date.
She is survived by her sister and brother, Alissa Terrasa of Lake Jackson, TX and Thomas Vaughn of Raleigh, NC; her half-sister and half-brother Candra Downs of Simpsonville, SC and Jay Dee Vaughn of Dawson Springs, KY; her mother and father-in-law, Durwood Thomas and Clarice Coghill Watkins of Henderson, NC; her sister-in-law, Sharon Clark of Henderson, NC; her two nieces Chastity Clark of Orlando, FL and Tara Terrasa of Topeka, KS; and seven nephews, Jason Vaughn of Goshen, KY, John Michael Vaughn of Clifton, VA, Michael Terrasa, III of Oceanside, CA and Joshua Terrasa of Clute, TX and Bowman Vaughn Downs, Franklin Mansfield Downs and Mason Ramage Downs all of Simpsonville, SC.
