FORT. MITCHELL, AL- Clarence "Dickie" Richard Harrell, Jr., age 66, a resident of Fort Mitchell, Alabama and a former Henderson resident, died Saturday at Carl Vinson
Medical Center in Dublin GA.Born in Granville County on July 12, 1950 he was the son of the late Clarence Richard Harrell, Sr. and Bertha Creech Harrell.Mr. Harrell was a retired United States Army Veteran and later retired from the US Army Civil Service.He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, where he was a former member and Sunday School teacher, by Rev. Calvin Mills. Burial with full military honors will follow in New Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Faucette Harrell of the home; two sons, Clarence Richard Harrell, III and wife Jacqueline of Louiville, KY and Dr. Kevin Harrell of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Karen Harrell Grissom of Byron, GA; a brother, Dennis Ray Harrell of Pittsboro; a sister, Brenda Johnson of Henderson; six grandchildren, Nicholas Harrell, Cameron Furmage, Dylan Grissom, Trinity Furmage, Zachary Grissom and Riley Webster-Plourd.He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Thomas Dink Grissom, Jr.; a sister, Linda Gray Harrell;a step-brother, Wayne Garner; and a brother-in-law, Donald Gene Johnson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Connie and Ferebee Williams, 480 Faucette Lane, Henderson.
