DURHAM- Senior Master Sergeant Clarence Edward Snow, age 81, a resident of 507 Andover Road, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.Born on March 14, 1930 in Mt. Airy, NC, he was the son of the late George B. Snow and Myrtle Towe Snow.SMSgt Snow was a retired Veteran of the United States Air Force.He retired from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base having served twenty-six years, including a tour in Guam, two tours in England, and a tour in Thailand.He also served ten years as an Air Force Recruiter in Durham.In addition to being a retired Veteran, he was a high school baseball umpire in the surrounding areas for thirty-three years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 AM in the Nutbush Presbyterian Church by Rev. Arlan Faircloth and Albert Capps.Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
SMSgt Snow is survived by a daughter, Anette Snow Woods and husband, Kyle, of Kernersville; a son, Richard B. Snow and wife, Beverly of Roxboro; four granddaughters, Dana Anderson, and Dawn Anderson of Kernersville, Cheri Snow Crabtree and husband, Jamison of Clayton, and Crystal Snow Harris and husband, J.R. of Roxboro; a great-grandson, Cody Fuller and great-granddaughter, Lillian White; one brother, Donald Snow and wife, Connie of Henderson; and a sister, Peggy Piccoli and husband, John of Henderson. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and cousins . He was preceded in death by his wife, Panthea Capps Snow; and three brothers, Jack Snow, Tommy Snow, and Charles Snow.
The family will receive friends on Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 till 10:45 AM atNutbush Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Nutbush Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Charlie Norwood, P.O. Box 184, Townsville, NC 27584.
