She was a retired registered nurse, having worked for Maria Parham Health and the Vance County Health Department.She also served the Vance County School System as a school nurse.Claudia was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM by Rev. David Pate.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Claudia is survived by her husband, Perry L. Twisdale of the home; two daughters, Mary T. Pearce (Michael) of Henderson and Elizabeth T. Castro (Patrick) of Franklinton; three grandsons, Remy L. Pearce, Brooks T. Pearce and Jackson Castro; three sisters, Stephanie J. Sullivan of California, Maureen D. Sullivan of Atlanta and Meagan I. Sullivan of Atlanta; a brother, Timothy J. Sullivan (Linda) of Arlington, TX; a sister-in-law, Jeaneen T. Beckham (T.T.), of Henderson; a brother-in-law, Anthony L. Twisdale (Meghan), of Hillsborough; her nieces and nephews, Brian T. Beckham (Ashley), Jamie B. Peoples (Josh), Beckham Peoples, Peyton Twisdale, Jackson Twisdale, Charles Daniel Sullivan, II, Timothy James Sullivan, Jr., James Phillip Sullivan, Amber Colleen Sullivan and Sean Patrick Sullivan; and her loving pet and "guardian" Buster.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Maria Parham Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit and PCU, as well as Dr. Singh, for their care and kindness over the past weeks.
The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church and at other times they will be at 11174 NC Hwy 39 North, Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Brian Beckham, Anthony Twisdale, T.T. Beckham, Josh Peoples and N.D. "Dick" Twisdale, Jr.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Henderson Police Department.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, PO Box 100, Townsville, NC27584 or gifts may be sent to PO Box 125, Townsville, NC27584.
