KITTRELL — Mr. Clyde Medicus Pulley Jr., 85, a resident of U.S. Highway 1 South, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Maria Parham Health.
Born in Vance County on January 6, 1941, he was the son of the late Carlia Parrish Pulley and Clyde Medicus Pulley Sr. Clyde was a faithful member of Union Chapel Church of Kittrell. He served proudly in the US Army and part of the Military Police. He worked as a salesman for Snider Tire Company in Greensboro and served as a former president of the Henderson Jaycees. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family, and taking his dogs for rides.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Union Chapel Church of Kittrell, officiated by the Rev. Radford Frazier.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, prior to the service, in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Pulley is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mildred Clayton Pulley; his son, Scott Pulley and wife, Tammy, of Henderson; his daughter Beverly Pulley of the home; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Pulley and Rex Pulley.
