Constance Lavone Davis Cheek was born May 12, 1963. A faithful servant of the Lord, Constance lost her battle with leukemia on October 4, 2022. As a firm believer of Christ’s second coming, she is now waiting for the return of Christ and to be reunited with her fellow brethren in Christ as well as her beloved husband, Robert Ellison Cheek, Jr. She was a loyal wife, a well loved Mother and compassionate friend as she loved and cared for those around her. Constance spent her earlier years caring for her younger siblings and as she got older and had her own family, her career became caring for others as well. She spent her days working or fellowshipping with her PCG family as she was devoted to serving God with zeal. She was a strong independent person who cultivated a very humble and meek spirit as she grew spiritually. She lived her faith, always standing up for what’s right. Constance’s example of faith was a light to her children and family, and those who knew her. She strived to be a “Just woman,” simple and strong through faith. She enjoyed classical music as well as dancing, cooking, reading her Bible and spending time with her family. She walked by faith and led by example as a strong pillar in her family. Her calming voice and understanding eyes will be missed dearly. A mother’s love is definitely unconditional and it will be deeply missed. She will be missed by her children, Anthony Mallory (Ashley), Kimberly Mallory (Howard), Aleiya Fields, Shelly Fields, Jr., Quanta Sneed (Markitta), and Robert III. She is the oldest of three siblings who are Clinton B. Davis, Dwight Davis, and Shauna Davis. She also had a host of grandchildren and family that will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Davis; and husband, the late Robert Cheek, Jr.
