Cornelia Wilson Garrison

Cornelia Wilson Garrison, 82, of Seven Springs Lane, died Sunday, September 17, 2023 at a local nursing home. Born July 11, 1941 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Nell Caudle Wilson and George Thomas Wilson. She was a retired teacher, having taught at Dabney Elementary School, Kerr Lake School and Vance Granville Community College. She was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church where graveside funeral services will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. by Rev. Gary Brummitt. Mrs. Garrison is survived by her husband, Roy Lee Garrsion, Jr. of the home; her son, Wesley Garrison and wife, Tracey of Henderson; three grandchildren, C. J. Oakes and husband, Justin, Jordan Davidson and husband, Seth and Luke Trull; and two great grandchildren, Nicholas Oakes and Sadie Davidson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gale Garrison Mahan. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of Rock Spring Baptist Church.
