OXFORD- Curtis Wayne "Cotton" Coley, Sr., 63, of Hicksboro Road died Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Wake Med.Born in Vance County on December 14, 1956, he was the son of the late Jimmy Coley and Lois Wynne Coley.He was a structures superintendent with S.T. Wooten Corporation where he worked for more than 30 years.He enjoyed flying RC airplanes and was an avid fisherman.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 3:00PM at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Dr. Donald A. Perkinson.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Ivey Coley of the home; a son, Curtis Wayne Coley, Jr. of Henderson; a daughter, Christie Coley Mustian (Morris) of Oxford; two grandsons, Jimmy Coley and Brian Coley; and his loving dog, "Little Bit."
He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Pennell and a grandson, Justin Coley.
The family will receive friends at the home of Christie and Morris Mustian, 7798 Hicksboro Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vance County Animal Shelter, 1243 Brodie Road Henderson, NC 27537.
