NORLINA- Ms. Daisy Roberson Carliles,77, a resident of Norlina, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Hillcrest Raleigh Rehab and Nursing.Born September 12, 1939 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Butler Roberson and Alice Mae Matthews Roberson.She was a retired registered nurse having worked as a supervisor for Vance County Health Department and John Umstead Hospital.She continued her career in nursing in later years as a home health care nurse.
She was a member of West End Baptist Church where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM by Pastor Ralph McGowen.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
Ms. Carliles is survived by her son, Daryl Ray Carliles, Jr. of Raleigh; her daughter, Melanie Carliles of Henderson; her grandson, J.B. Humphries; three sisters, Charlotte Roberson of Henderson, Pearlie Anderson and husband Johnny of Raleigh, and Betty Sizemore of Greensboro; three brothers, Johnny Roberson of Greensboro, Mike Roberson of Kearnersville, and Tex Roberson of Julian; and the father of her children, Daryl Carliles, Sr.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Colton Humphries.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at West End Baptist Church from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM and following the service at the home of Daryl Carliles, Sr., 552 Paige St, Henderson.
