Dave Robert Norwood

CLARKSVILLE, VA. David Robert ”Dave” Norwood, 83, of Clarksville, Va., passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Pine Knoll Shores. Born January 19, 1942 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Wilma Lee Watson Norwood and Charlie Thomas Norwood, Sr. Dave was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed being in nature. He loved spending time with his family and friends and took great pleasure in cooking for them. Dave is survived by his wife of sixty years Betty Rae Norwood, of the home; two daughters, Lee Norwood of Clarksville, Va., and Christine Norwood of Pine Knoll Shores; three sisters, Joyce Moss, Donna Canada and Sylvia Anderson; one sister-in-law, Mary Norwood; one brother, Nathan Fleming; one brother-in-law, Ron Hancock and wife Alene. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Hancock; and one brother, Chuck Norwood. A memorial service will be held Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Tabernacle Methodist Church of Townsville by Rev. Tommy Privette and joined by Rev. Randy Holmes.
