David Bennett Abbott

HENDERSON- David Bennett Abbott, age 66, a resident of Dorsey Place, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at his home. Born December 2, 1958 in Suffolk Co. Massachusetts, he was the son of Betty Nell Abbott of Henderson and the late Bennett Perry Abbott. David was a retired Lab Technician at CertainTeed in Oxford. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Carey Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Michael Mahan. David is survived by his wife Kathy Aiken Abbott, of the home; one daughter, Kelly A. Bondurant and husband Justin of Youngsville; one son, Jordan Abbott of Henderson; one brother, Randy Abbott and wife Susan of Henderson; and one grandson, Evan Bondurant. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Rhodes; and one brother, Mark Abbott. The family will receive friends following the service in the Carey Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. At other times they will be at the home.
