David Wayne Adcock

HENDERSON-David Wayne Adcock, age 39, a resident of Henderson, passed away on May 30, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. Born in Vance County on December 24, 1977 he was the son Susan Steed Adcock and Jerry Wayne Adcock of Henderson.David was a graduate of Northern Vance High School. He worked at Revlon in Oxford until he became ill with cancer in February, 2016.
He was a member of Carey Baptist Church where funeral services will be on Sunday at 3:00 PM by Rev. Todd Stout and Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother John Nelson Adcock and wife, Mercedes of New Orleans.He is also survived by his very good friend, Katie Coghill.He was preceded in death by his grandparents Betty and Acy Adcock and Mary and Clifton Steed.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM till 7:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at the home of Susan and Wayne, 40 West Hills Drive, Henderson, 27537.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Wade, Justin Lazar, Anthony Wade, Neil Woodlief, Preston Wade and Daniel Spencer.
