David Wayne Bowen, Sr.

HENDERSON- David Wayne Bowen, Sr., 74, of NC Hwy 39 S., passed Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Maria Parham Health.Born in Beaufort County on October 23, 1946, he was the son of the late Herbert Gordon Bowen and Margaret Louise Buchanan Bowen.He was formerly employed with Americal and retired from Macra Lace.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Jay Jarrell in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home.
Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Janelle White Bowen of the home; a daughter, Dana B. Hatton (Todd) of Richmond, VA; a son, David Wayne Bowen, Jr. (Shannon) of Yorktown, VA; seven grandchildren, Brittney Beekman (Shelby), Matthew Winders, Sara Winders, Austin Hatton, Shaylene Hatton, Colin Houston and Julia Houston; one great grandson, Parker Winders; and a sister, Betsy B. Aiken of Henderson.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home.
Attendees at both the visitation and service on Friday are asked to wear appropriate face coverings and practice social distancing.
