FRANKLINTON- David Leonard Garrett, 91 a resident of 7N. 2nd Street, Franklinton, died Tuesday February, 23, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born in Vance County on December 13, 1924 he was the son of the late Nolon Garrett and Mabel Morton Garrett.He was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from Burlington Industries.A private service will be held by the family.
He is survived by his life partner, Mayrose Dickens of the home; his daughter, Renee Woodlief and his son, Timmy Dickens both of Kittrell; a brother, Richard Garrett of Oxford; a granddaughter, Erin Phelps; and two great grandchildren, Ivanna Holden and Ivan Holden.
