David Lee Hester

TOWNSVILLE- David Lee Hester, age 45, a resident of 12515 Hwy 39 N died Monday, November 30, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center.Born on November 19, 1970 in Vance County he was the son of John Allen Hester, Sr. of Piedmont, SC and Irma VanDyke Ellington of Henderson.He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00PM by Rev. David Pate.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three sons, Kelly Hester, Andrew Hester, and Luke Hester all of Oxford; his wife, Lori Gladden Hester of Oxford; his brother, John Allen Hester, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Youngsville; a grandson, Nathan Hester; his step father, Carl Ellington of Henderson; his step brother, Stephen Ellington and wife Rachel of Henderson; four nephews, Kyle Gladden, James Gladden, Daniel Gladden and Daniel Hester; and two nieces, Gina Gladden and Terri Gladden.
The family will receive friends following the service on Thursday at Tabernacle United Methodist Church. At other times they will be at the home of Lori Hester, 307 Tranquil Dr, Oxford, NC 27565 and at the home of Irma and Carl Ellington, 1415 St. Andrews Church Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Gladden, Kyle Gladden, James Williamson, Joe Stepusin, Kelly Hester, Stephen Ellington, Greg Harris and Erin Gladden.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Tabernacle UMC, PO Box 100, Townsville, NC 27584.
