David Lee Anderson "Jody" Riggan, age 67, a resident of 712 Moody Road, died Friday, January 22, 2016, at Maria Parham Medical Center.Born on February 27, 1948 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Ollie Thomas Riggan, Sr. and Mary Sulean Bowes Riggan.He was formerly employed with Coca Cola Bottling Company.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at11:00 AM in the J. M. White Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.
He is survived by one daughter, Thelma Braswell and husband, Ronnie of Henderson; one step-daughter, Rhonda Wright of Centerville; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren; and one brother Earl Riggan of Kittrell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ollie Thomas Riggan, Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 am at J. M. White Funeral Home.
Serving as active pall bearers will be Danny Strickland, Ronnie Braswell, Jr., Rashaad Rose, Sr., Shelton Branch, Stephan Wright, Sr. and Todd Alford.
