Deborah Kay Babb, age 61, a resident of 5018 US 401 North, died Sunday March 6, 2011, at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Born on May 5, 1949 in Halifax County NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Wallace Babb and Margaret Strange Babb.
She was a retired secretary with the Vance County Parole and Probation Office, and was formerly employed at Roses Department Store for over 25 years.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Elmwood cemetery by Dr. William Wakefield.
She is survived by her fiance, Mikey Edwards, of the home; one sister Jennifer B. Everett of Goldsboro; two brothers Charles Babb of Newport News, Virginia, and Danny Babb of Petersburg, Virginia.In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by one brother, Walter Wallace Babb, II.
The family will receive friends at the home on 5018 US 401 North.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Three Day For The Cure Team, c/o Stefanie Wineland, 205 Schultz Street, Chapel Hill, NC, 27514.
