KITTRELL- Delora Ann Lassiter Grissom, 81, of S. William Street, died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Born March 26, 1941, in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Lassiter and Erma King Lassiter and was the widow of Vernon Wyche Grissom, Jr. She was retired from Harriett and Henderson Yarns where she worked as a payroll clerk and was a member of Kittrell Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Fuller Chapel by Rev. Tammy Ayscue. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Ann is survived by her son, Stephen Jay Grissom of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Joshua Lynn Grissom and fiancé, Claudia Almarales Fuxa and Dylan Grissom and wife, Rylee; a great granddaughter, Collins Grace Grissom; her special niece and best friend, Pam Wiggins; her beloved dog “Jake,” and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Vernon Lynn Grissom; three sisters and a brother. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at J.M. White Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home, 209 S. William Street, Kittrell, NC 27544. Serving as pallbearers will be Lupe Maldonado, John Tate, Bryan Belvin, Norman Crowder, Roger Finch and Bobby King.
