HENDERSON- Mr. Derrick Ryan Blackmon, age 35, a resident of 2121 Glebe Road, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home.Born in Vance County on May 16, 1980 he was the son of Gerald Daniel Blackmon of Henderson and Nancy Twisdale OGeary of Henderson.He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM at Tabernacle United Methodist Church by Rev. David Pate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step father, Bubba OGeary of the home, his step mother, Linda Blackmon of Henderson; his maternal grand parents, Macon and Bettye Twisdale of Townsville; his paternal grandmother, Myrtle Blackmon of Henderson; three sisters, Cassie Blackmon Dodson of Burlington, Ashleigh Blackmon and Mary Alanna OGeary both of Wilmington; and his best friend, Linda Watkins.
The family will receive friends at the home, 2121 Glebe Road, Henderson, NC, 27537.
