HENDERSON- Dixie Williamson Satterwhite, age 79, a resident of 750 Tobacco Road, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at her home.Born on December 20, 1933 in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Anderson Williamson and Hattie Belle Lockemy Williamson, and was the widow of John Thomas Satterwhite.
She was a retired Inspector from Laurens Glass Plant, and was a member of Gillburg United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Sunset Gardens by the Rev.Calvin Dickenson.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Russell of Henderson; three sons, Daniel Satterwhite, and Larry Satterwhite of Henderson and Charles A. Satterwhite of Kittrell; two brothers, Wiley Williamson of Goldsboro and Carl Williamson of West Palm Beach, FL; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Lovin; three sisters, Peggy Bonny, Mildred Strickland, and Lucille Morgan; and one brother, Stacey Williamson.
The family will receive friends Saturday night from 7 until 8:30 pm at J. M. White Funeral Home.At other times they will be at her home at 750 Tobacco Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gillburg United Methodist Church, 4815 NC Hwy. 39 S, Henderson, NC27537.
